Description: This highly-regarded and leading insurance company, AM Best Superior, employs outstanding claims technicians overseeing high-exposure complex commercial liability claims. This context keeps their claims group challenged, providing continued opportunities for growth. Join a dynamic team that handles complex claims of various insurance products from open through closure. Work closely with TPAs and self-administered accounts, internal claims managers, department leaders, and internal and external legal counsel. Maintain ongoing case evaluations and manage litigation. Conduct thorough coverage reviews. Advise TPAs regarding claims handling and reporting. Identify cost-effective resolution strategies. Negotiate claim settlements. Maintain timely expense and indemnity reserves. Identify claims with reinsurance, collaborate with Underwriters and travel for audits, meetings, settlement conferences, and trial monitoring as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. JD preferred. 5+ years of active litigation or adjusting higher exposure, complex commercial liability claims. Experience with all phases of claims litigation from inception through post judgment preferred, including complex mediations, settlement conferences and trials. Experience analyzing coverage issues and drafting reservation of rights and coverage letters. Experience in multiple jurisdictions with an insurance carrier and, or a TPA preferred. AIC, SCLA, or CLCS Designations highly valued. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
